SKG S.A. was established in 1986 by Dr. Zbigniew Główka. The company’s financial technology solutions support hundreds of firms and institutions in Poland, including Polish Customs Administration, Poland’s Ministry of Finance, the Warsaw Stock Exchange, and LOT Polish Airlines. In 2012, SKG S.A. was acquired by Asseco Group, one of the largest technology companies in Poland. SKG S.A. comprises 60 employees, who on average worked with the company for more than five years. The company employs top-class specialists, including business analysts, system and database designers, software developers, testing and technical support staff, and implementation technicians.
SKG S.A. experienced issues allocating of resources for backup, virtualization, and storage, whether locally in servers or in disk arrays. SKG S.A. acquired the QNAP TDS-16489U rackmount NAS and the REXP-1620U-RP expansion enclosure to simplify their IT infrastructure and to provide a robust and scalable computing and storage node for their virtualization and backup needs.
The Virtualization Station app inside the TDS-16489U works perfectly to host multiple guest OSes; the 10GbE SFP+ network ports built-in to the NAS helps greatly accelerate VM backups from VMware ESXi servers using the NAKIVO Backup & Replication suite.
